Heather is a devoted mother and wife who loves to write children's books that inspire and uplift families everywhere. Her first book, Angel Grandma, was written after grieving the loss of her mother and mother-in-law.
Heather enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She has thirteen hens (they're like potato chips, you can't have just one), two cats and a very lovable Golden Retriever named Beau.
Heather is a two-time winner of the Purple Dragonfly Award, for Angel Grandma in 2020 and Angel Grandpa in 2021, a Reader's Favorite for God Hears My Song, a Book Excellence Award Winner for Imagine a World and a 2022 Catholic Media Award for Mysteries of The Holy Rosary, The Life of Jesus and Mary.
Leigha is a Colorado-based children’s author who writes to inspire connection, community, and joy. Her stories are born from everyday life, shaped by the people she’s met, and guided by her favorite motto:
“Everything is figureout-able.”
She began her author journey eight years ago with a keepsake for her firstborn, and after a challenging season, discovered writing as both a healing outlet and a passion. When inspiration slows, she simply shifts to another project—often dreaming up new ideas even in her sleep.
